Polini Produzioni and the 4.0 Transition

We want to share with you the progress of the most ambitious project carried out by Polini Produzioni in 2020.

In December 2020, Polini made its debut in the era of Industry 4.0with its production site, in Paratico (Brescia, Italy). This accomplishment lies in a much bigger project, that has a 5 year objective to reach complete automation of all company production processes, including the raw materials and finished products handling. This is the reason why before the transition to 4.0, comes a long strategic and IT programming lasted 6 months, which represents the guidelines to Polini Produzioni’s evolution.

The Industry 4.0 certification will be the result of a long industrial evolution process, that began in 2009 with the opening of the unified warehouse in Paratico. Over the years, the development of the production capacity has brought to the creation of 7 completely indipendent bottling lines, with growing volumes and a versatile production capacity.

The project objectives are:

  • company workflows improvement
  • energy saving and reduction of raw material waste
  • inefficiency monitoring and better company organization
  • work environment quality improvement
  • complete traceability of the supply chain
  • faster response to the market requests

The certification process has been followed for Globe srlby Mr Andrea Ferdinando Vair, Engineering Manager of the certification Body and his assistant Mr Michele Di Marco. Through various audits, they have verified the conformance of the machinery purchased and installed by Polini Produzioni to the required regulation.
